Lin’s Steam buns (Spirited Away)

Ingredients:
1 1/2 cup milk
3 tbsp vegetable oil
3 tbsp sugar
1/2 tsp salt
1 1/2 Tbsp instant dry yeast
4 1/2 cup AP Flour
Filling
Red bean paste
Or
Taro paste
3 tbsp honey
Salt
1/2 cup vegetable oil
1/4 lb Purple sweet potato
3/4 cup Sugar
1 lb Taro
Or
Pork Filling
2 minced shallots
2 minced garlic
Pinch of salt
1 tbsp hoisin sauce
2 tbsp cornstarch mixed with water
1 tbsp sugar
1/2 cup of char sit sauce
Boiled egg
Directions:
In a bowl add flour, instant dry yeast, salt, sugar, vegetable oil, and milk.
Mix, knead for a while and let it rest for 4 hours in an oiled up bowl with a damp towel over it.
Once risen, flatten dough and add filling and work your way closing the bun and steam for 8-10 minutes.
